Cultural values of World Heritage Places

Client: Department of Environment and Heritage with heritage consultant Susan McIntyre-Tamwoy

Central Eastern Rainforest Reserves (CERRA) World Heritage Area, comprises 50 discontinuous rainforest reserves located in north-east New South Wales and south east Queensland. This project (led by Susan McIntyre-Tamwoy) involved investigations into and consultation concerning the values these reserves hold for Aboriginal people. The aim of the project was to assess values likely to meet the thresholds for the new National Heritage List. Designed, conducted and reported upon focus group discussions concerning values, in a range of locations throughout out the CERRA.
