Client: Mookai Rosie Bi-Bayan Aboriginal Corporation, Cairns
An organisation review and management planning project for an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health and Family Support program based in Cairns. This program houses Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander mothers and their escorts when they come to Cairns from remote Cape York communities to have their babies, or when they bring their children to Cairns for medical treatment. Mookai provides counselling, education and support to mothers and their escorts to support and strengthen families to support long-term health outcomes of Aboriginal communities in the Cape.
